Software built to spec, not to template.
Sipe Systems is a small software and web development practice. We build custom websites, web applications, and payment and API integrations for businesses that need working software rather than a page builder.
What we build
Custom website development
Marketing sites, landing pages, and content sites built from scratch. Responsive, accessible, and fast, with a content workflow the owner can actually maintain.
Web application development
Full-stack applications with user accounts, databases, and business logic. Built to a written specification with a defined scope and delivery schedule.
Payments and API integration
Connecting applications to third-party services — payment processing, marketplace payouts, authentication, and data providers — including webhook handling and reconciliation.
Maintenance and support
Ongoing updates, dependency and security patching, bug fixes, and feature work on existing applications, billed hourly or on a monthly retainer.
Technical consulting
Architecture review, technology selection, and scoping for teams deciding how to build something before they commit budget to it.
All work is quoted in advance. Sipe Systems sells development services only — we do not sell physical goods, and no products are shipped.
Payment, refunds, and cancellation
Billing
Project work is quoted in a written proposal before it begins. Fixed-scope projects are typically billed 50% at kickoff and 50% at delivery. Hourly and retainer work is invoiced monthly in arrears.
Invoices are due within 14 days. Payment is accepted by card or bank transfer.
Refunds
Deposits are refundable in full if written notice is given before development begins.
Once work has started, refunds are prorated: the client is billed for work completed and delivered to date, and any remaining balance is returned within 10 business days.
Hours already worked and invoiced are not refundable.
Cancellation
Either party may cancel a project with written notice by email. Work stops on the notice date.
Monthly retainers may be cancelled with 30 days' written notice, and are not prorated within a billing month.
On cancellation, all completed work and source code paid for to date is delivered to the client.
Disputes
If you are unhappy with anything you have been billed for, email nsipe@sipesystems.dev and we will respond within two business days.
We would rather resolve a billing question directly than have it go to your card issuer. Most issues are a scope misunderstanding and are fixable.
Customer service
Terms of service
Scope of work
Each engagement is governed by a written proposal or statement of work that defines deliverables, timeline, and price. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before it is performed.
Ownership
On final payment, the client owns the source code and assets produced for their project. Sipe Systems retains the right to reuse general-purpose libraries, tools, and techniques not specific to the client.
Client responsibilities
Timelines assume the client provides content, access, credentials, and feedback in a reasonable time. Delays in these shift the delivery schedule accordingly.
Third-party services
Projects may rely on third-party services such as hosting, payment processors, and APIs. Fees charged by those providers are the client's responsibility and are separate from development fees. Sipe Systems is not responsible for outages or policy changes at third-party providers.
Warranty
Defects in delivered work reported within 30 days of delivery are corrected at no charge. New features, scope changes, and issues caused by third-party changes are billable.
Limitation of liability
Liability for any claim arising from an engagement is limited to the amount paid for that engagement. Sipe Systems is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost revenue or data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The version in effect when a proposal is signed governs that engagement.
